BackgroundMcGuigan is one of the most awarded wineries in the world. Quality, consistency, value and innovation are hallmarks of the brand, both in Australia and abroad. Under the leadership of CEO and Chief Winemaker Neil McGuigan, McGuigan is the only winery to be named International Winemaker of the Year a record four times by the International Wine & Spirits Competition in London.

McGuigan Hand Made is a hand-crafted, limited edition Shiraz sourced from the outstanding soils and climate of Langhorne Creek. The wine has a classical structure from grapes sourced from low yielding vineyards. A powerful yet elegant wine, Hand Made showcases the McGuigan family's long winemaking heritage.
VinificationSourced from low yielding vineyards just outside Langhorne Creek, warm days & evening breezes ensure full ripeness with good acid retention. After crushing, the fruit was cold steeped for three days in a small open vat. It was then fermented at 22ᵒC for seven days before being pressed into barrels for malolactic fermentation & maturation in French oak for 18 months.
