Background
The Plan is a unique range of wines that are vibrant and fruit-driven with a spine of elegant acidity. Innovative and of high-quality, The Plan from McGuigan Wines are varietally true with a distinct sense of place. Grapes for The Plan are sourced from top quality vineyards all over South Eastern Australia, including McLaren Vale, Langhorne Creek and Barossa Valley. Synonymous with Australian winemaking all over the work, the McGuigan family has been tending vines in the Hunter Valley since 1880.
Vinification
Chardonnay grapes were harvested at night, then crushed and pressed. The resulting juice is then clarified before being fermented in stainless steel tanks using select yeast strains. Light use of oak gives the wine depth, weight and complexity.
