BackgroundThe Plan was simple: to take outstanding Australian wine to the world and in doing so, become internationally recognized as a winery of great distinction. Set in 1880, four generations have weaved their passion and dedication into one of Australia's most dedicated winemaking families: The McGuigans.
Today, the McGuigan family still follows this master plan for hand-crafting exceptional, vibrant wines. The Plan is a range of uniquely Australian wines sourced from select dry-grown and irrigated vineyard sites throughout South-Eastern Australia. The wines are vibrant and fruit-driven with a spine of elegant acidity...all part of The Plan.
VinificationChardonnay grapes were harvested at night, then crushed and pressed. The resulting juice is then clarified before being fermented in stainless steel tanks using select yeast strains. Light use of oak gives the wine depth, weight and complexity.
