Background

Brothers. Bootleggers. Legends. Nearly a century ago, Jacob and Abner Taub crafted and bootlegged their own whiskey during Prohibition to support their family. Then one fateful winter night in 1929, their world came crashing down during a sting that would land the brothers behind bars. Six long years later, President Franklin D. Roosevelt pardoned the Taub brothers, allowing them to reignite their family business with their brother Martin. The ensuing launch of the brothers’ Baltimore Club Whiskey set into motion a family tradition that would span generations. The brothers served their time, and now, you can spend time enjoying Jacob’s Pardon, a fine American whiskey that pays homage to the Taubs’ rebellious roots. It’s complex, smooth, timeless, and frankly, a little liberating. It would be a crime not to enjoy it.

PRODUCTION NOTES

Blend of three bourbons from Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana.

Aging

A four-grain bourbon mash bill: 72% Corn + 16% Rye + 6% Wheat + 6% Malted Barley.

Tasting Notes

The nose offers up soft caramel cream and English toffee, which opens into sweet corn and mineral richness before evolving to clove, vanilla, and mace, with a deep caramel corn and honeyed elegance. Creamy, chocolatey sweetness on the palate leads to honeyed cake frosting notes that deepen to a semi-sweet dark chocolate intensity.
