This prestigious industry recognition celebrates emerging brands that are gaining strong traction in the U.S. market. To qualify, a brand must have depleted at least 50,000 nine-liter cases in the U.S. in 2025 — the entry point for any brand, regardless of age. From there, newer brands need to show at least 15% depletion growth over the prior year, while more established brands, on the market since 2022 or earlier, face a higher standard still: either double-digit growth in each of the past three years, or a strong 2025 layered on top of sustained multi-year gains.
Côté Mas continues to be a true success story in our portfolio. 2025 v. 2024 growth (case volume) is nearly three times the Hot Prospect criteria, plus the brand’s three-year case volume growth (2025 v. 2022) has tripled to 200% — eight times the bar set by Shanken. By combining authenticity and accessibility, Jean-Claude Mas has clearly struck a chord with U.S. consumers, echoed by this back-to-back Hot Prospect recognition.
With vibrant packaging, expressive blends, and approachable price points, Côté Mas embodies the sun-soaked, Mediterranean spirit of the southern France — and this second consecutive win confirms that American consumers are responding to it in kind.
Yealands, meanwhile, is celebrating its first Hot Prospect Award, and the timing aligns with a brand that’s been steadily building momentum in the U.S. market. Last year, it crossed the 80,000-case mark, and their three-year case volume growth (2025 v. 2022) nearly doubled the Hot Prospect criteria, posting 48% growth against a 25% bar set by Shanken.
