Crafted by Head Distiller Brian Taft from a mashbill of malted Irish barley, un-malted Irish barley, and Irish Barra Oats — and aged in single-use Kentucky Bourbon and Sherry Oloroso casks — it is celebrated for its exceptional creaminess and complex layering of spice, fruit, and vanilla. In this special Marsala Cask Edition, that already exceptional whiskey is taken a step further. After its primary maturation, the spirit is transferred into casks that previously held Marsala — the celebrated Sicilian fortified wine, prized for its rich sweetness and depth of dried fruit, fig, and spice. The Marsala finishing adds a distinctly Italian character to the classic Drumshanbo profile, deepening the fruit notes and introducing a warming complexity that lingers elegantly on the palate.
