The Saget family are indelibly woven into the rich tapestry of the Loire Valley — nine generations and counting. When their ancestors planted their first vines in the hamlet of Le Bouchot near Pouilly-sur-Loire in 1790, they could not have imagined they would carry that torch through nearly three successive centuries of French winemaking. What makes Saget La Perrière truly extraordinary is not just their longevity — it's their ambitious vision. In the 1920s, they became one of the first local bottlers; in the 1980s, they set out to explore the Loire beyond Pouilly, forging relationships across the entire valley. They became the first and, to this day, only family with a winemaking presence across all four Loire subregions: Muscadet, Anjou, Touraine, and Centre-Loire. In 1996, Jean-Louis Saget acquired Clos de La Perrière — one of Sancerre's most prestigious estates — complete with a spectacular natural limestone cave carved 200 million years ago. It was here that the family launched their own estate production. Today, his sons Arnaud and Laurent lead the estate, stewarding 230 hectares of HVE3-certified vineyards across an unprecedented range of Loire terroirs. La Petite Perrière Rosé is a delightfully fresh expression from this storied house — 100% Pinot Noir sourced from Touraine in the Loire Valley, complemented by a portion of grapes from the South of France, delivering a pale, refreshing pink bursting with raspberry, morello cherry, and a mineral finish that could only come from France's most celebrated wine valley.
