The local people introduced him to the area's extraordinary orange citrus — abundant, vibrant, and bursting with a warmth that felt both foreign and familiar. Back at The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co. Leitrim, Rigney understood immediately how this bright burst of Americana would transform the spirit he had spent years perfecting. The California Orange Citrus was incorporated into the distillation process alongside the eight pot still and four vapor-infused botanicals that define Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin — slow-distilled by hand in the distillery's medieval copper pot stills. The result is a vibrant, citrus-forward gin that carries the curiosity and warmth of California in every sip, while remaining anchored in the wild, unspoiled landscape of western Ireland.

Eight botanicals — including Chinese gunpowder tea, juniper, and meadowsweet — are slow-distilled by hand in medieval copper pot stills at The Shed Distillery. California Orange Citrus is incorporated as one of four vapor-infused botanicals, preserving its bright, sun-ripened character. Bottled at 43% ABV; each bottle is hand-filled, labeled, and sealed by the distillery team in Drumshanbo.
