DescriptionThis super-premium Cabernet Sauvignon is the outcome of carefully selected grapes from Santa Rita's finest and most historic vineyard at the famed Alto Jahuel Estate in the Maipo Valley. Since its debut in 1989, Casa Real has had only one winemaker: Cecilia Torres. Her passion, creativity and unmistakable style can be found in each bottle. Casa Real Cabernet Sauvignon is made only in the finest vintages and is the culmination of more than a century of winemaking tradition and expertise, combined with contemporary, state-of-the-art technology. It is designed to serve as a lasting reminder of Santa Rita's commitment to produce the finest wine the terroir has to offer. Low yields from mature 40-year-old vines favor a rich, full-bodied red, endowed with smooth, enduring tannins and fruit. This is a wine that will continue to evolve and develop in complexity over many years.
VinificationFully-ripe grapes are hand-picked, partially crushed & fermented in French oak. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is stored in 100% new French oak barrels for 16 months, with a racking off after 6 months. Bottled & aged for one year prior to release.
