BackgroundLa Ferme du Mont from France's Southern Rhone is a creation from famed winemaker Stephane Vedeau, who is passionate about the Grenache grape. A third generation winemaker, Stephane has a unique style that is described as 'Burgundian' and produces wines that are light, delicate and fresh compared to others from the region. Grapes for La Ferme du Mont are farmed from 66 acres of vineyards across five appellations, nearly 70% of which is from Cotes du Rhone & Cotes du Rhone Villages. The unique terroir from a selection of vineyards sees a combination of soils, sunlight exposure and wind to produce wines with great complexity.
VinificationGrapes come from vineyards in Châteauneuf du Pape, the most famous of the Southern Rhône crus. Hand harvested to select and sort grapes. First pressing goes directly into oak barrels for fermentation.
