Jacob’s Pardon Whiskey marks the first time the Taub Family returns to their roots as rectifiers in the spirits business. With the strongest conviction and commitment to creating the very best American whiskey, Marc joined forces with America's foremost expert on distilled spirits, F. Paul Pacult, working together to expertly blend this new whiskey. While he spent most of his career as an evaluator of spirits, Paul was so intrigued by the Taub’s storied history and Marc’s passion that he signed on as Master Blender. The Taub’s intimate involvement and Paul’s myriad years of expertise have resulted in whiskey that is as rich in flavor as it is in history..
Nearly a century ago, Jacob and Abner Taub crafted and bootlegged their own whiskey during Prohibition to support their family. Then one fateful winter night in 1929, their world came crashing down during a sting that would land the brothers behind bars.
Six long years later, President Franklin D. Roosevelt pardoned the Taub brothers. They were able to reignite their family business with their brother Martin and help launch Baltimore Club Whiskey. This would set into motion a family tradition that would span generations. Today, the Taub Family continues this legacy with the introduction of Jacob's Pardon.
