Chile is a true winemaking paradise. Sandwiched between the Pacific Ocean and the dramatic peaks of the Andes, the country has a diverse range of terroirs ideally suited to the cultivation of many wine styles — especially vibrant, aromatic whites and intense, beautifully structured reds. While winemaking here dates to the 19th century, the 1980s saw major investments in modern facilities and quality-focused winemaking practices that have propelled Chile onto the international stage.
