Renewable Energy
Greener
A certified approach to renewable energy

Alexander Grappa’s dedicated commitment to renewable energy sources has been certified by GREENER, a trademark that belongs to SUM, a company owned by Unindustria Treviso, Confindustria Venezia and Consorzio Unindustria Multiutilities.

Carbon Footprint Management
Geothermal Power
756 tons of CO2 saved per year

Geothermal heat harnesses natural heat from the earth, then converted to power the air-conditioning system. Water is extracted from a drilled hole in the ground, then transferred to a heat-pump unit, which converts the water into thermal energy. This renewable energy method, along with other alternative sources for electricity, conserves about 756 tons of CO2 per year.

Conservation Projects
Recirculation & Purification of Water
5 million liters of water conserved

A water recirculation system is used in the distillery to cut back on 5 million liters of water per distillation year. The water used in the distillation process is air cooled, then circulated in a closed-loop system. Additionally,  the water purification system uses an industrial waste management treatment to deposit clean water back into the environment.

Organic Farming
500 kg of synethic chemicals saved each year
500 kg of synethic chemicals saved each year

The grapes used to distill Alexander Grappa products are sourced from vines farmed using fertilizers only from organic origin. This preserves the integrity of the soil and saves approximately 500 kg of synthetic chemicals per year.
