Two of Palm Bay's most iconic Italian wine producers, Col d’Orcia and Travaglini, have been nominated for the prestigious Wine Enthusiast 2025 Wine Star Awards. As our colleagues in the industry know, these nominations recognize extraordinary commitment, innovation, and global influence — exemplified by both estates.

Environmental Advocate of the Year Nominee: Col d’Orcia
Col d’Orcia, one of Montalcino’s historic estates, has been nominated in the newly introduced Environmental Advocate of the Year category. Under the leadership of Count Francesco Marone Cinzano and his son Santiago, the estate has become a model for sustainable viticulture, biodiversity, and environmental stewardship, becoming certified organic in 2013. They have also earned EQUALITAS Sustainable Winery certification, the prestigious SNAIL Award from Slow Wine, and pioneered practices that ensure the land and its legacy are preserved for future generations.
European Winery of the Year Nominee: Travaglini
Travaglini, a family-owned winery in the heart of Gattinara, has been nominated for European Winery of the Year. Founded in the 1920s and now led by the fourth and fifth generations of the Travaglini family, the winery has been a tireless champion of the nebbiolo grape, producing elegant, age-worthy wines that reflect the distinctive terroir of northern Piedmont.
