Palm Bay International welcomes Beni di Batasiolo from Piedmont to portfolio(October 2019) – Leading U.S. wine & spirits importer Palm Bay International is pleased to announce that, effective January 1, 2020, Beni di Batasiolo will join its portfolio. Based in Piedmont’s Langhe district, Batasiolo was established in 1978 by the Dogliani family and, today, is the region’s largest family-run producer. Batasiolo encompasses over 320 acres across nine beni (estates), including five cru Barolo sites.


Batasiolo’s portfolio comprises a range of wines that offer the full scope of styles from the Langhe. Barolo DOCG and Barbaresco DOCG represent the winery’s classic expressions. Moscato d’Asti DOCG Bosc DLA REI, Barbera d’Alba DOC, Dolcetto d’Alba DOC, and Gavi DOC offer an approachable introduction to the region, while Barbera d’Alba DOC Sovrana, Gavi del Comune di Gavi Granée DOCG, and Langhe DOC Nebbiolo encourage deeper exploration of its diverse terroirs.        

Additionally, Batasiolo’s icon wines will join the portfolio, highlighting the unique specificity of each of the winery’s five cru Barolo sites: Cerequio and Brunate within the La Morra commune, Briccolina and Boscareto within the Serralunga d’Alba commune, and Bussia Bofani within the Monforte d’Alba commune, as well as, the winery’s Barolo Riserva.

Palm Bay International will begin operating as the sole import agent for Batasiolo’s portfolio in the United States as of January 1, 2020. The wines were previously imported by Total Beverage Solutions.
