The Prüm family has roots in Mosel region of Germany that date back as far as 1156, making it one the country’s preeminent winemaking dynasties. The current estate, now a century old and located in Wehlen in the heart of the Mosel, has been under the direction of Raimund Prum since 1971. Under his leadership, the property has become one of the region’s most successful wineries, boasting an international reputation for the production of exquisite Rieslings in a range of styles that satisfy and please every palate.
Production Area
This estate-bottled Riesling is made from a selection of grapes grown in and around Bernkastel in Germany’s middle Mosel region. This area is characterized by blue slate soil, rich in copper, which give the wines from this area more backbone, structure and distinct minerality.

Vinification
Grapes are picked by hand in mid-October and de-stemmed before undergoing 12 hours of maceration on the skins. The juice is fermented with native yeasts for eight weeks in stainless steel tanks, it is aged sur lie for richness and character and bottled under synthetic cork.
