Remy Pannier’s attractive new packaging reflects over a century of tradition and experience in Loire Valley winemaking.

Production Area
The vineyards of Vouvray are planted on a plateau on the north bank of the Loire River. Clay and gravel are common in the topsoil; chalk forms the subsoil, and the small valleys in and around the town of Vouvray are riddled with caves and cellars.

Grape Varieties
100% Chenin Blanc

Vinification
Rigorous low yield control (50-60 hl/ha). Grapes are picked at optimal maturity, and bunches are pressed immediately, followed by low temperature fermentation to preserve tropical fruit flavors and aromas. The juice is protected with CO2 and does not undergo malolactic fermentation. Aged on the fine lees to obtain a rounder texture and stored in stainless steel tanks until bottling maintains the freshness, minerality, and purity of the Chenin grape.

Color
Bright gold

Bouquet
Richly fragrant with hints of ripe pear, honey and brioche

Taste
Subtle, harmonious and delicately sweet. Flavors of honey, pear and apple

Alcohol
11.5%

Serving Suggestions
Served chilled, this wine is delicious with nuts, foie gras, fish dishes and fresh-fruit desserts
