Under the experienced eye of chief winemaker Tom Hinde, Heritance wines uphold a tradition of elegance. The winery represents the best sites in St. Helena, Yountville, Oakville and Rutherford including Cabernet Sauvignon from the renowned Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard. The deep-rooted vines for this Cabernet Sauvignon are grown on the bench sites and foothill vineyards in the Rutherford AVA. This area is defined by well-drained soils primarily composed of gravel, sand and loam.
VinificationHand-sorted and fully-destemmed to small closed fermenters. Native and select Bordeaux yeast isolates are used. Put to barrel on fermentation lees for malolactic fermentation. Racked every 4 months during 18 months aging. 100% French Oak (75% new).
