For more than 150 years, the landmark Periquita brand from the southwestern coast of Portugal has been a welcome guest at the tables of discerning wine drinkers and an international ambassador for fine Portuguese wines. Created by J.M. da Fonseca in 1850 and trademarked in 1941, Periquita has the distinction of being the oldest Portuguese table
wine brand.
Periquita Moscato is the newest member of the Periquita range. Modern and fresh, it is a harmonious blend of Moscatel de Setúbal and Arinto grapes.
Production Area
Vineyards here are composed principally of sand (95%) with some presence of clay (5%)

76% Moscatel de Setúbal; 24% Arinto
Vinification
3% of the Moscatel de Setubal was oak fermented. The remaining was stainless steel fermented at about 65ºF. Bottled November 2009.
Color
Pale gold with green tints.
Bouquet
Perfumed with scents of lychees, ripe pineapple and mango
Taste
Medium-bodied, with excellent balance between fruit and acidity
