Viña MontGras, in Chile’s Colchagua Valley, was established in 1992 by brothers Hernán and Eduardo Gras, together with their partner Cristián Hartwig. The fruit of a mission to produce estate-grown wines of exceptional quality and originality, the MontGras estate today encompasses over 200 hectares planted to vine in the heart of Chile’s wine-producing region. Since the first harvest in the early 1990s, MontGras wines have earned over 200 medals and awards worldwide, garnering international critical acclaim. Santiago Margozzini serves as head winemaker.

Production Area
Chile’s Colchagua Valley, located between the Coastal Range and the Andes.

Grape Varieties
90% Merlot, 10% Carmenere

Vinification
Grapes are hand-harvested in April. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. After the maceration period, 40% of the wine is aged for eight months in French and American (50/50) oak barrels.

Color
Deep ruby red with violet undertones

Bouquet
Expressive aromas of plums and cherries, vanilla, cedar and a touch of mint.

Taste
Ripe plum flavors mingle with deep, dark fruit flavors. A touch of mint and toasty oak give this wine an elegant and charming finish.
