Located in France’s southern Rhône Valley, Château Lamargue (Lah-Marg) comprises 210 acres of vineyard in the Costières de Nîmes appellation. Owned by Campari since 2001, the estate boasts a showcase winery equipped with the most advanced winemaking technology as well as new French and American oak barriques. Renowned Rhone Valley producer, Jean-Luc Colombo is Managing Director of the estate.
The Costières de Nîmes AOC wines come from vineyards where yields are limited to approximately 35 hl/ha, which translates into approximately one bottle of wine per vine.
“Cabanes” refers to the hunting huts native to the region.

The low hills of the Costières de Nimes have a specific soil called grès – a stony gravel with large pebbles that were carried down from the Alps by the Rhone River. This unusual soil, combined with maritime influences, allow for this region to produce an elegant and distinctive style of wine.
