Arrogant Frog is an estate-bottled wine created and produced by Jean-Claude Mas, 4th-Generation Winemaker. Steeped in legacy, and heritage, Jean-Claude’s unwavering commitment to creating superior wines is his direct response to an “arrogant” assumption that the Languedoc region can’t produce world class wines. This passion has resulted in the domaine becoming the largest privately-owned winery in France outside Champagne, and Arrogant Frog becoming an international success with its engaging, easy-going, and elegant style.

Grapes are destemmed and undergo a cool maceration without skin contact. Pneumatic pressing (of only free run juice) is used. The wine is racked for clarification, followed by a cool fermentation for 18 days. During this process the wine is protected from oxygen contact with the use of nitrogen gas. The wine rests for 2 months on its lees in stainless steel vats for added complexity.
Complex and fresh with aromas of grapefruit, gooseberry and herbaceous notes and a hint of smokiness.
Fruit and lively with great balance and persistence.
